On this page you can find out more about what our vision and aims are as a church and also what we believe.

At South Lincs Church our aim is two-fold: To build and lives and to benefit communities.

Building lives

We all want to live the best life that we possibly can and we believe that the way to do that is through knowing Jesus and following the things that He taught. The Bible is not just a book of rules but provides us with principles which, if practiced, will enable us to live the best quality of life possible. The Bible shows us that God created us, knows us, wants to bless us, help us and guide us, and that He has a plan for our lives that goes beyond anything we can imagine. We want to build lives by connecting people to God so that they can experience this for themselves. We want to help people grow in their knowledge of God so that they can be all that He designed them to be.

Benefiting communities

As we build the lives of individuals we believe that this will impact the society in which we find ourselves, and our communities will become better places to live. We want our church to be open to everyone to make a positive difference to the lives of all who are in contact with us. We want to be a place where people feel welcomed and go away feeling encouraged, uplifted and strengthened, as well as a place that people can come to for help in the hardest times of life, knowing that they will meet with people who want the best for them.

If you join with us you will discover more about how we plan to accomplish each of these aims in the things we do.

What we believe

South Lincs Church is a Pentecostal church and here you will find a summary of the main things that we believe.

The Bible: We believe the Bible (the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired Word of God and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

God: We believe in on God who is the Creator and Ruler of the universe who has revealed Himself in three persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – what we refer to as the Trinity.

Jesus: We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life and miraculous ministry of Jesus Christ. We believe that He willingly sacrificed Himself on the Cross for the sins of mankind and that He rose again, has ascended back to Heaven and will one day return.

Man: We believe that mankind is created in the image of God and was created pure and upright. Mankind fell through disobedience to God, known as sin, which separated man from God.

Salvation: Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and in His death on the cross. Through faith in Jesus we can be forgiven of our sin and our relationship with God can be restored. It is a gift of God and is not earned through good works.

Christian Life: We believe that the Christian faith is not a ‘one off’ or a once a week act of going to church but a 24/7 lifestyle that affects every aspect of who we are. Part of living the Christian life includes being baptised in water, participating in communion and being an active member of a local church.

The Holy Spirit: We believe in two levels of experience of the person of Holy Spirit. Firstly, the Holy Spirit makes us aware of our need for Jesus Christ and lives in every believer. The second level of experience is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit where He provides believers with empowerment for service and guidance for life.

Eternity: Man will live forever, either separate from or in union with God. To live forever in union with God is Heaven and to be eternally separated from God is Hell.
