On Saturday 6th September 2008 we hosted our 2nd BIG barbecue for the community of Ruskington. The weather forecast all week had been for pouring rain all day, but apart from one short, sharp shower, the rain held off and the day was fine (praise God!). Over 250 guests, ranging from the oldest members of the community to the youngest, were treated to free burgers, hot dogs, cakes and hot and cold drinks. There was also a free inflatable assault course, bouncy castle and even face painting! Over 30 volunteers from our church served the people who came, and everyone who attended had a great time.
