Because You're Worth It!

"Because You're Worth It!" was an event run by South Lincs Church for mums on Sat 21st March 09. With over 30 guests, plus ladies from the church who ran the day, the event was a huge success. Every aspect of the day, from the welcome drink and chocolate on arrival, to the pampering beauty stations and free gift bag on the way out, was designed to send a message to mums that they are valued and appreciated in all they do in their role of motherhood. Mums enjoyed being pampered with foot spas, facial saunas, face masks, head and feet massages, hair straightening and nail painting, as well as being treated to flowing chocolate fountains, a fruit juice fountain, and fresh coffee and cakes! Guest speaker, Pastor Lynwen Hicks, reminded the women of the importance of their role in their child's life and encouraged the mums to be proud of all they do.

Mums of young children, teenagers, and grown children attended, and there was even a great-grandmother who made the most of her day! All who came had a fantastic time, and the overriding message on everyone's lips as they left was, "When are you doing this again?"

One mum said, "It reminded me that I’m not just a mum but I am the most important person in my child’s life". Another commented, "I really felt pampered and proud to be a mum when I left".

As a church it was a privilege to be able to bless so many fantastic mums and let them know that they really are fulfilling the vital role of raising the next generation.
